Tom Yum soup, one of Thailand's most recognized national dishes, is so easy to make you won't believe it only takes 20 minutes to cook this dish!
For those not familiar with Thai food, there are two types of tom yum soup, one with a clear base and the other with a chilli base. My favourite is the chilli-based soup because I love spicy stuff (though I'm aware that some clear-based soups are actually more potent that the chilli type!).
During a Thai cooking class that I attended awhile back, the teacher mentioned that most Thai cooks usually use one brand of Tom Yum paste to cook their soups. You can't easily get it at most supermarkets though... it's only possible to find it at the Golden Mile Thai supermarket here in Singapore. Want to know what brand I'm talking about? Well, here it is!
