So this is my first shot at making this all-time favourite dessert and I got a bit overexcited wanting to see how it would turn out and so took it out of the fridge a bit too early. BUT MESSY IS GOOD, RIGHT?
I adapted this recipe from another online site here and to be honest, the dessert could have done with some kick from Baileys or Marsala wine but who on earth stocks these in their cupboard on normal days right? Anyway, it turned out to be quite da bomb even though my whipping cream got a bit overwhipped in the process and I had a bit of a minor kitchen incident.
I decided to use whipping cream in this instance as I wasn't sure about using raw egg whites as well.
